Fast Lane Sunday Suppers: Tender steak braised in a red wine sauce surrounded by mushrooms, pearl onions and bacon.

Medium Instructions

Thaw in refrigerator.
1.For stovetop, preheat oven to 325°F. Preheat oven proof pot on stove over med-high heat. 2.Remove steaks from packaging and pat meat dry. Once dry, cut steaks into 1-2 inch cubes and then dredge in flour mixture until all sides of cubes are coated.
3.Add 1 Tbsp. olive oil to the Dutch oven and allow oil to get hot. Add steak cubes to the pan, in one layer. Sear cubes on each side for 3-5 min. until a golden brown crust forms.
STOVETOP:Add red wine braising mixture to steaks and bring to a boil. Cover with lid and place in the oven. Bake for 1 hour.
CROCKPOT:Add browned steaks and red wine braising liquid to crockpot and cook on low for 4-5 hours.
4.10 min before the hour is up, heat a medium sauté pan over med-high heat. Add mushroom mixture to the pan and cook for 7-10 min. Add cooked mushroom mixture to the braised beef, cover with lid and continue cooking for 20-25 min. 6.To serve evenly divide between bowls and spoon sauce on top.
