New Sunday Suppers: Tender dumplings surrounded by a creamy broth of carrots, celery, and chicken.
Thaw in refrigerator.
1.Heat soup pot over med-high heat. Add vegetable and chicken mixture and stir to combine. Sauté for 5 min.
2.Add 4 cups of water to pot and bring mixture to a soft boil. Reduce heat to low and simmer. Add 1/2 cup of half and half (reserving the remaining half and half for dumplings). Cook for 10-15 min.
3.Meanwhile, combine dumpling dry mixture and the remaining half and half in a bowl and stir until well combined. NOTE: If dough appears too dry, add 1 Tbsp. of cold water until a slightly wet consistency that is easily scooped.
4.Drop golf-ball sized spoonfuls of dumpling dough into simmering pot and stir gently. Cover and continuing cooking for 15 min, stirring often. Serve immediately.
Prep time: 30-35 min.
